Bookkeeper/Administration

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate financial records for a variety of clients to adhere to VAT, MTD for income tax and year end accounts requirements. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounting software and payroll knowledge and experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain accurate financial records using Sage accounting software. Experience of Zero and Quickbooks would be an advantage.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with payroll processing and general office administration.
  • Prepare financial records to trial balance ready to extract balance sheet and P&L reports.
  • Maintain organised filing systems for financial documents and records
Skills
  • Proven experience with accounting software such as Sage Cloud Accounting, experience of Xero and Quickbooks would be an advantage,
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices,
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently,
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping,
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal,
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team,
