We are growing our Development Operations team and seeking individuals with Linux systems administration experience at the core, biased towards security, networking, and provisioning automation to join our team. Responsibilities <ul style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; "> <li style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; white-space: pre;"> Managing daily system operations of GCP and our platform </li> <li style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; white-space: pre;"> Troubleshooting system and network issues </li> <li style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; white-space: pre;"> Helping Product Development with systems-based architectural decisions </li> <li style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; white-space: pre;"> Implementing and documenting methodologies for maintaining our infrastructure as we grow, both refining existing mechanisms and developing new processes </li> <li style="font-size: 11pt; margin-bottom: 0px; "> <li style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; white-space: pre;"> Required Linux/Unix background, with a good understanding of Linux configuration mechanisms (We primarily use Ubuntu) </li> <li style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; white-space: pre;"> Experience developing large automation efforts with standard Linux tools </li> <li style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; white-space: pre;"> Experience with automation tooling such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef (strong preference for Ansible) </li> <li style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; white-space: pre;"> Required previous professional experience in Google Cloud Platform </li> <li style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; white-space: pre;"> Required experience with (or willing to learn) Infrastructure as Code <ul> <li style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; white-space: pre;"> Strong preference to those with Terraform experience </li> </ul> </li> <li style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; white-space: pre;"> A good understanding of the end-to-end Mail Transport process and protocols (We use Postfix) </li> <li style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; white-space: pre;"> A good understanding of the TCP/IP stack, basic routing and firewalling concepts, and how to troubleshoot networking issues </li> <li style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; white-space: pre;"> Database management, monitoring and support experience (strong preference for PostgreSQL experience). </li> <li style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; white-space: pre;"> Architecture expertise in leading an automated deployment from start to finish </li> <li style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; white-space: pre;"> Previous professional experience with an enterprise monitoring system (strong preference for Zabbix experience) </li> <li style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; white-space: pre;"> Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills </li> <li style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; white-space: pre;"> A passion for computer, network, and application security </li> </ul> Role Objectives <ul style="margin-top: 0px;
