<p><span class="fontstyle0"><strong>Medical Science Liaison (MSL)</strong> </span><span class="fontstyle2">– Oncology, Germline</span><br><span class="fontstyle0"><strong>Geography:</strong> </span><span class="fontstyle2">Position Based: </span>Central US (IL, IN, WI, IA, NE, SD, ND)</p><p><br><span class="fontstyle0"><strong><u>Description</u>:</strong></span><br><span class="fontstyle2">Myriad Genetics is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support our oncology</span><br><span class="fontstyle2">portfolio with a primary focus on hereditary cancer (germline) testing across the cancer</span><br><span class="fontstyle2">center settings, including medical oncology, gynecologic oncology, surgical oncology, and</span><br><span class="fontstyle2">cancer genetics clinics. This is a field-based scientific and clinical expert role within</span><br><span class="fontstyle2">Medical Affairs. The MSL serves as a trusted scientific partner to healthcare professionals</span><br><span class="fontstyle2">and key opinion leaders (KOLs), facilitating high quality scientific exchange and bringing</span><br><span class="fontstyle2">actionable insights back to the organization.</span></p><p><br><span class="fontstyle2">The MSL will demonstrate strong clinical expertise, scientific acumen, and business</span><br><span class="fontstyle2">awareness while collaborating cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Commercial Sales</span><br><span class="fontstyle2">and Marketing, Product, and Training teams. This role reports to the Germline Oncology</span><br><span class="fontstyle2">MSL Manager within Medical Affairs.</span></p><p><br><span class="fontstyle0"><strong><u>Key Responsibilities:</u></strong></span></p><p><span class="fontstyle0"><strong>Scientific and Clinical Expertise:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span class="fontstyle2">Maintain deep expertise in Myriad’s oncology germline testing portfolio and relevant</span><br><span class="fontstyle2">areas of oncology, genetics, and genomics.</span></li><li><span class="fontstyle2">Stay current on emerging data, guidelines, clinical practice trends, and the</span><br><span class="fontstyle2">competitive landscape impacting hereditary cancer testing.</span></li><li><span class="fontstyle2">Represent Myriad at scientific congresses, advisory boards, and educational forums</span><br><span class="fontstyle2">to gather insights and support Medical Affairs objectives.</span></li><li><span class="fontstyle2">Actively contribute to the Myriad Medical Affairs community through best-practice</span><br><span class="fontstyle2">sharing and collaboration.</span></li></ul><p><span class="fontstyle0"><strong>External Engagement and Education:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span class="fontstyle2">Serve as a scientific and clinical resource to healthcare professionals by responding</span><br><span class="fontstyle2">to medical inquiries, explaining test results, and discussing clinical utility and</span><br><span class="fontstyle2">guideline-based care.</span></li><li><span class="fontstyle2">Deliver high-quality scientific and educational presentations to academic and</span><br><span class="fontstyle2">community clinicians.</span> </li><li><span class="fontstyle0">Build and sustain strong relationships with local, regional, and national KOLs</span><br><span class="fontstyle0">through scientific exchange and collaboration.</span></li><li><span class="fontstyle0">Support customer research requests through appropriate internal channels.</span></li></ul><p><span class="fontstyle3"><strong>Strategic, Cross-Functional, and Medical Affairs Leadership</strong></span></p><ul><li><span class="fontstyle3">I</span><span class="fontstyle0">dentify and prioritize opportunities for scientific engagement, education, and</span><br><span class="fontstyle0">insight generation within the territory.</span></li><li><span class="fontstyle0">Provide field-based insights to Medical Affairs, Product, Marketing, and Training</span><br><span class="fontstyle0">teams to inform strategy, education, and product development.</span></li><li><span class="fontstyle0">Collaborate compliantly with sales partners to support customer education and</span><br><span class="fontstyle0">engagement.</span></li><li><span class="fontstyle0">Support speaker trainings, advisory boards, and thought leader meetings aligned</span><br><span class="fontstyle0">with Medical Affairs objectives.</span></li><li><span class="fontstyle0">Serve as a medical lead or core contributor for Medical Affairs initiatives, including</span><br><span class="fontstyle0">clinical education webinars, scientific symposia, guideline-related activities (e.g.,</span><br><span class="fontstyle0">NCCN engagement), and registry or real-world evidence programs.</span></li><li><span class="fontstyle0">Act as the Medical Affairs liaison to cross-functional teams to ensure scientific rigor,</span><br><span class="fontstyle0">clinical relevance, and compliant execution of initiatives.</span></li><li><span class="fontstyle0">Participate in internal meetings and training to support alignment and execution of</span><br><span class="fontstyle0">oncology initiatives.</span><br> </li></ul><p><span class="fontstyle3"><strong><u>Qualifications</u>:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span class="fontstyle0">Advanced degree required in a relevant scientific or clinical discipline: (e.g., Master</span><br><span class="fontstyle0">of Science, Certified Genetic Counselor; Advanced Practice Provider, Nurse</span><br><span class="fontstyle0">Practitioner, Physician Assistant). Maintain current board certifications</span><br><span class="fontstyle0">and/or licenses, preferred, with a demonstrated commitment to ongoing</span><br><span class="fontstyle0">professional education.</span></li><li><span class="fontstyle0">5+ years of post-graduate clinical experience required.</span></li><li><span class="fontstyle0">Demonstrate advanced training and/or experience in clinical oncology, including</span><br><span class="fontstyle0">familiarity with cancer center practice environments.</span></li><li><span class="fontstyle0">Strong understanding of genetics/genomics, hereditary cancer testing, patient</span><br><span class="fontstyle0">journeys, and current genetic testing service delivery models.</span></li><li><span class="fontstyle0">Experience facilitating scientific or research discussions with KOLs and effectively</span><br><span class="fontstyle0">communicating clinical data or study results to diverse audiences.</span></li><li><span class="fontstyle0">Established relationships with oncology or genetics thought leaders preferred.</span></li><li><span class="fontstyle0">Exhibit excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.</span></li><li><span class="fontstyle0">Willingness and ability to travel ~2 days per week, occasional evenings or weekends</span><br><span class="fontstyle0">for conferences or meetings.
