This role is ideal for mechanically skilled professionals who enjoy <strong>hands‑on work, full‑time travel, and long‑term project stability</strong>.</p><hr /><h2><strong>*What You’ll Do</strong></h2><ul><li>Assemble, erect, and dismantle steel structures and conveying systems</li><li>Install, align, level, and anchor industrial equipment and machinery</li><li>Perform mechanical work on conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, flow meters, and bagging systems</li><li>Interpret and work from blueprints, shop drawings, and layout plans</li><li>Perform non‑critical welding and fabrication (stick, MIG, TIG)</li><li>Execute complex rigging and precision equipment moves inside active plants</li><li>Assist with pipe fitting, threading, and piping related to equipment installation</li><li>Troubleshoot mechanical issues and complete repairs as needed</li><li>Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime</li><li>Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently</li><li>Work at heights when required during installation and tear‑down</li><li>Collaborate with a small crew under a foreman or superintendent</li></ul><hr /><h2><strong>*What We’re Looking For</strong></h2><ul><li><strong>2+ years of experience installing conveyor or industrial equipment</strong></li><li>Millwright or industrial mechanical experience</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints and layout drawings</li><li>Experience with rigging and setting heavy equipment</li><li>Basic welding experience (stick and/or MIG)</li><li>Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills</li><li>Ability to lift and position heavy components</li><li>Comfort working at heights</li><li>Willingness and ability to travel full‑time</li></ul><hr /><h2><strong>*Nice to Have</strong></h2><ul><li>Job‑site welding or fabrication experience</li><li>MIG or TIG welding experience</li><li>Pipe fitting or piping experience</li><li>Experience working in grain elevators, ethanol plants, or ag processing facilities</li><li>Hydraulics or mechanical maintenance experience</li></ul><hr /><h2><strong>*Work Environment</strong></h2><ul><li>Industrial job sites including grain elevators, ethanol plants, and ag processing facilities</li><li>Indoor and outdoor work depending on project</li><li>Small, tight‑knit crews (typically 4–5 people)</li><li>PPE provided (hard hat, hi‑vis vest, gloves, safety glasses)</li><li>Emphasis on safety, planning, and teamwork</li></ul><hr /><h2><strong>*Why You’ll Love Working Here</strong></h2><ul><li><strong>Significant overtime available</strong> (often 20+ hours per week)</li><li><strong>Double‑time pay on Sundays</strong></li><li>Long‑term employment without having to search for the next project</li><li>Stable workflow with consistent travel rotation</li><li>Work with experienced crews who value craftsmanship</li><li>Growing company with ongoing industrial projects</li><li>Predictable schedule that allows time off between rotations</li></ul><hr /><h1>Apply Directly to this posting for next steps</h1><strong>Job Type & Location</strong><p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.</p><strong>Pay and Benefits</strong><p>The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.<p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
