Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CirrusLabs is seeking a skilled GitHub Platform Admin to manage, optimize, and secure their organization's GitHub ecosystem. The role involves ensuring smooth collaboration for developers, enforcing best practices, and scaling repositories for growing teams.
- Responsibilities
- Administer GitHub Enterprise/Cloud accounts, including user access, permissions, and organization settings
- Set up and maintain repositories, workflows, Actions, and integrations with tools like CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Monitor usage, enforce security policies (e.g., branch protection, secret scanning), and troubleshoot issues
- Automate tasks using GitHub API, webhooks, and scripting (Python/Bash)
- Train teams on GitHub features and migrate repositories as needed
- Generate reports on repository activity and compliance
- Skills
- Strong knowledge of Git workflows, Actions, Packages, and security features
- Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) and API usage
- Excellent problem-solving skills and communication for cross-team support
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years hands-on experience with GitHub (Enterprise preferred)
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes a plus)
