BakerRipley is a United Way agency.   POSITION OVERVIEW As a Systems Analyst, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions within an organization. You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient information systems to meet the operational objectives of the business. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across various departments. CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Coordinates the production of reports scheduled for distribution to the local workforce board staff and other contractors • Evaluates current processes, and develops and implements new ways for automation and/or efficiency • Ensures projects are completed in a timely fashion and perform the required function as assigned • Demonstrates understanding of policies and procedures as well as contractual obligations and ensures staff complies with them • Conducts system development activities so that they support all parts of Workforce Solutions system • Develops and maintains professional working relationship with other managers within Workforce Solutions, vendors, career office staff, and Houston-Galveston Area Council staff • Attends onsite and offsite meetings as needed Expected Positive Outcomes  Reduce downtime caused my system issues. Increase response time and visibility of inquiries.  User satisfaction regarding system usability, functionality, and performance.  Data accuracy and integrity with new integrity checks for inventory and financial systems. JOB FUNCTIONS Benchmark Job x Remote Work Eligible   Essential Functions Essential Function o Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business requirements and objectives. o Conduct a thorough analysis of existing systems, processes, and workflows to identify areas for improvement. o Translate business requirements into technical specifications and system design documents. o Design, develop, and implement customized solutions to address business needs. o Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and tools to meet project requirements. o Work closely with development teams to ensure that solutions are implemented according to specifications and best practices. o Develop test plans and test cases to validate system functionality and performance. o Conduct thorough testing to identify and address any defects or issues. o Collaborate with QA teams to ensure the quality of deliverables before deployment. o Coordinate with stakeholders to plan and execute system deployments. o Provide training and support to end-users to facilitate the smooth adoption of new systems. o Monitor system performance post-deployment and address any issues or concerns. o Create comprehensive documentation including system requirements, design specifications, user manuals, and training materials. o Conduct training sessions to educate end-users on system functionalities and best practices. o Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to systems analysis and design. o Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization. o Participate in post-implementation reviews to gather feedback and insights for future enhancements. Additional Responsibilities Required for All Jobs • Performs other duties as assigned • Complies with all policies and standards QualificationsPREFERRED/ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education       Education Level Education Details Required/ Preferred   Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or a related technology field Preferred and Work Experience Experience Experience Details Required/ Preferred   4-6 years 5-7 years experience with business operations or systems development Preferred   4-6 years at least four (4) years demonstrated performance at the Systems Analyst level Preferred   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities KSAs Proficiency Demonstrable proficiency in designing, managing, coordinating and/or supporting multiple systems installation, integration and/or modification projects   Experience in clearly defining business needs based upon input from various sources within the organization and formulating approaches to meet those needs utilizing existing and new technologies   Experience planning, developing, implementing and supporting software interfaces for data exchange between and amongst multiple systems   Experience in documenting application, database and systems’ parameters for enterprise applications and databases   Must possess a detailed understanding of systems software and database configuration and support best-practice policies & procedures   Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills.
